01 — Idea from necessity
How it all started
Finding comfortable, breathable, and washable footwear for my son Žan turned into a challenge without a real solution. When there was no footwear on the market that supported healthy foot development and approximated barefoot walking, the idea was born.
02 — First stitches
First pair of slippers
Maja took the first step toward a solution by enrolling in a sewing course. With the help of her mentor, the first pair of children's slippers was created, designed with comfort, breathability, and natural movement in mind.
03 — Home Workshop
Improvement at night
After her regular job and in the evenings when her son was asleep, Maja researched materials and improved the patterns. Each new pair of slippers was better, more thoughtful, and closer to the ideal.

Snugglies are noticed by others too
The excitement of children and parents did not go unnoticed. The Snugi slippers were also noticed by a chain of stores, marking the beginning of the journey from a home workshop to the first family business.

Growth with a clear mission
Today, Snugi is one of the leading children's slipper brands in Slovenia. With knowledge, collaboration with experts, and continuous improvements, we create footwear that supports the healthy development of feet and the natural movement of children.
Snugi was created out of a genuine need from parents and a desire for footwear that allows children natural movement and healthy foot development.
Discovery
We constantly strive to understand what we can do better so that children have appropriate footwear that will guide and protect them on their journey.
Exploration
When we understand their needs, we explore materials that are breathable, flexible, durable, and washable. We also collaborate with experts during the research process.
Prototyping
From our research, we develop several prototypes of different shapes, widths, and materials and test them until we determine which would be most suitable for most children as well as adults.
Testing
In the final testing phase, we offer prototypes to a selected group of children and parents. When we see how they respond to the new product, we know if we are heading in the right direction. Then the footwear is tested for some more time to provide us with feedback on which design and materials suit them best.
Design
We design footwear so that both children and adults enjoy wearing it because it is comfortable, supports healthy foot development, and stands out from the crowd.

The materials we use must be durable, flexible to foot movement, breathable, and washable. We carefully select materials sourced from the European Union, which boast the highest quality certifications.
